Christmas at ARoS: creative workshops, Advent jazz, Lucia procession and magical moments for the whole family

December at ARoS is filled with Christmas magic for you and your family. Come to a free Advent jazz concert every Sunday, experience the Lucia procession in 'Your rainbow panorama' or participate in creative Christmas workshops every Saturday in December. Stop by ARoS Café, where you can enjoy mulled wine and apple slices and get your Christmas presents in the ARoS Store. Admission is always free in both places.

Every weekend in December, you can make Christmas clips and participate in creative Christmas workshops at ARoS. Join us as we make personalised artworks, Christmas gifts and decorations from old posters and materials from previous exhibitions and bring the family to workshops with Emma from DR Ramasjang's Kreabix, Iris Bakker Studio, Rebecca Ross and Club Curious.

The highlight is ARoS' traditional Lucia procession, where children and young people sing Christmas into the museum and finish at the top of ARoS in Olafur Eliasson's 'Your rainbow panorama'. The procession takes place on Friday 13 December at 17:30-18:15. You can experience the procession from the roof terrace and street level as the lights are carried up through the museum, spreading the Christmas message.

Participation in ARoS' Christmas workshops and the Lucia procession is free with an annual pass or with paid admission. Admission is always free for everyone under the age of 18.
