ARoS’s Annual Accounts for 2021
On Tuesday 31 May 2022, the ARoS Board of Directors approved the annual accounts for 2021.
Thanks to government support packages and invaluable backing from the Salling Foundations and Aarhus Municipality, ARoS has ended 2021 with a break-even result, following yet another year marked by lockdowns due to Covid-19.
Chair of the Board Laura Hay Uggla said:
“2021 has been a challenging year for ARoS, and we on the Board are therefore very pleased with the financial results. Every single member of staff has made a tremendous effort, for which we would like to express our gratitude. With a new director in place and a new board of directors from January 2022, as well as the forthcoming expansion project, The Next Level, ARoS is emerging stronger and looking forward to an exciting future with great potential for further positive development.”
Museum Director Rebecca Matthews says:
“The fact that we have achieved a break-even result is largely thanks to the government support packages, as well as the Salling Foundations and Aarhus Municipality, to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude. Their support underlines the importance of culture, art and ARoS as an institution. I look forward to leading ARoS into the future with a new vision plan and, amongst other things, to further strengthening our national and international collaborations.”
