ARoS appoints a new Director of HR, Finance and Administration

Erik Balch Frisgaard is to become ARoS’s new Director of HR, Finance and Administration. The new director has been appointed following a recruitment process facilitated by an external agency, in which there were many strong candidates.

Erik Balch Frisgaard joins from a role as Head of Finance and Human Resources at the Culture and Citizen Services department of Aarhus City Council and will take up his post as Director of HR, Finance and Administration at ARoS on 1 August 2022. The new director has an impressive CV, with many years’ managerial experience in HR and finance, as well as in-depth knowledge of ARoS.

“I applied for this role because it is a dream job. I have followed the positive development of ARoS at close quarters – whilst still at a distance from Aarhus City Hall – and I have worked closely and effectively with the museum on matters such as the COVID-19 support packages and the realisation of The Next Level. I am now very much looking forward to starting at ARoS and tackling the tasks and opportunities ahead, as well as working alongside the management team, the board, external partners and the many talented staff at ARoS. “It’s going to be fantastic,” says Erik Balch Frisgaard.

The recruitment process resulted in a broad field of strong, highly qualified candidates, which was narrowed down after two rounds of interviews, tests and assignments.
