On the opening day, you can be among the very first to experience As Seen Below. Join the world premiere and get a sneak peek of approximately 15 minutes where you experience the work illuminated in one colour - both with a clear view of the open sky and with the outer lid closed.

Architect and founder of Schmidt Hammer Lassen, Morten Schmidt has been involved in designing As Seen Below in close collaboration with James Turrell from the very beginning of the project.

Based on the work, he explores how we experience light and colour physically, psychologically and spiritually. Get behind the work as Morten Schmidt delves into questions like: Why do we experience complementary colours? How do colours arise in our perception? And how can light be understood as a phenomenon of cognition and consciousness?

On Sunday 21 June, the special Twilight at Sunset in As Seen Below will be accompanied by a special sound work. Rite of Passage is a concert in three acts composed by sound artist Marie Højlund and with input from James Turrell.

Torben Nielsen, head of the Jutland Art Academy, has followed the creation of As Seen Below with his camera. Through his photographs, he shares the hidden moments of the construction process and invites you into the temporary space of structures, materials, and light that all disappear once the final work stands complete.

Join Karen and Lisa from the hit podcast Radionauts as they explore the colours, lights and rainbows of the sky. How are rainbows created? Where do colours come from? And what exactly is light? The unique echo in the huge dome space of As Seen Below is the setting for a sensory play for children. Lilleby shows how you can move like an echo and explores what happens when we turn the sound up or down. Here we use the body to create fun echoes, magical movements and wonder together.

To celebrate the opening of As Seen Below - A Skyspace by James Turrell, they have taken over Level 1 and transformed it into a sensory playground for children and their grown-ups.

Here you can see, merge, repeat and move colours as you explore the magical landscape.

As the sun sets, As Seen Below is enveloped in a choreography of light and colour. This sets the scene for a sensory mindfulness experience where you can slow down and land in your body. Experience As Seen Below through a guided meditation and meet the work with renewed presence.

The meditation takes place through a Silent Experience System (headphones) sponsored by Sydbank Fonden.
