About the exhibition

The exhibition FAIRY TALES FOREVER was the museum's tribute to Hans Christian Andersen on the occasion of his 200th birthday.

In other words, the adventurous was at the centre of the exhibition labyrinth that led through large parts of the museum. 24 international artists accepted the museum's invitation, and the vast majority of the many works were created especially for this exhibition.

The exhibition featured works in the genres of photography, video, installation, painting, drawing and sculpture. With the title FAIRY TALES FOREVER, the aim of the exhibition was to emphasise that fairy tales contain eternal values and that the fantastic universe of life and death, good and evil forces, beauty and ugliness, truth and falsehood, cleverness and stupidity and love are still a great source of inspiration today.
