Anna Boghiguian – The Sunken Boat
With her sharply cut paper silhouettes and fragmented narratives, Anna Boghiguian creates poetic and politically charged installations where echoes of the past mirror the turmoil of the present.
Through five major works, The Sunken Boat takes you on a journey across time and place exploring themes such as migration, power, and human transformation – rendered with unsettling beauty and striking relevance.
This is Boghiguian’s first solo exhibition at a museum in the Nordic region, organised in collaboration with Turner Contemporary, UK.
About Anna Boghiguian
Anna Boghiguian (b. 1946) is an Egyptian-Canadian artist of Armenian descent. Her practice is deeply rooted in philosophy, literature, and the connections between people and cultures. She travels extensively, collecting stories and impressions that become part of her work.
The exhibition is curated by Louise Bjeldbak Henriksen.
