How do I enter As Seen Below?
You enter the artwork by going through ARoS. The work is part of the ARoS collection and requires a regular museum ticket.
If you have reserved a spot for a Sunrise Session or Sunset Session that begins outside the museum’s regular opening hours, you will find the entrance to As Seen Below beneath the footbridge at ARoS Art Square in Musikhusparken.
How long does a light session last?

A Sunrise Session or Sunset Session in As Seen Below lasts 37–64 minutes, depending on the time of year.
Doors open 30 minutes before the art experience begins. Please arrive in good time, and no later than 10 minutes before your Sunrise or Sunset Session starts.
The shorter Color Flows, which take place every two hours during the museum’s opening hours, last about 20 minutes. These cannot be reserved.
How do I know when my light session starts?

Your Sunrise Session or Sunset Session is scheduled according to the exact time of sunrise or sunset on the given day. When you reserve your spot, you can see the precise start time of your experience.
During the summer season, Sunrise Sessions typically take place between 04:00 and 07:30, while Sunset Sessions usually occur between 18:00 and 23:00. During the winter season, Sunrise Sessions generally take place between 07:00 and 09:00, while Sunset Sessions occur between 15:30 and 19:00.
The doors open 30 minutes before the art experience begins. Please arrive in good time, and no later than 10 minutes before your Sunrise or Sunset Session starts.
The shorter Color Flows, which last around 20 minutes, take place every two hours during the museum’s opening hours. The first Color Flow begins 30 minutes after the museum opens, typically at 9:30 or 10:30. You can ask about the next Color Flow at Information or in the ARoS Shop on Level 4.
What is the temperature like in As Seen Below?

The temperature in As Seen Below is roughly the same as outside, so it’s a good idea to check the weather forecast before you leave home.
What you choose to wear is entirely up to you, but we recommend dressing as you would for other outdoor activities – and we suggest wearing several layers that you can easily and quietly take on and off. It becomes warmer inside the Skyspace as the sun rises, and colder as the sun sets.
What do I do if I arrive late for my Sunrise or Sunset Session?

For the sake of safety and to maintain calm inside the artwork for other guests, it is important that you arrive in good time.
If you arrive after sunrise or sunset, a guard at the entrance to the artwork will try to help you find an available seat.
Please note that your seat may have been given to someone else.
We do not refund your ticket if you arrive late, but you can still use it as admission to the rest of the museum.

As Seen Below is part of the ARoS collection and is included in the regular museum admission ticket. If you want to experience one of the special Sunrise or Sunset Sessions, you must reserve a spot in advance. You can do so online here on the site.
The shorter Color Flows can be experienced every two hours inside the artwork. They do not require a separate reservation, but they still require museum admission.

If our system is unfortunately unable to process cancellations, your reservation cannot be refunded.
If you are unable to attend your Sunrise or Sunset Session, we recommend giving your reservation to a friend. Please remember that they will also need a museum admission ticket or an annual pass to ARoS.
How can I book a spot for a sunrise or sunset session after October 1?

We open for reservations on an ongoing basis, allowing you to book a spot up to 3 months in advance.
Can a sunrise or sunset session be cancelled if there are not enough participants?

No, we carry out the scheduled Sunrise and Sunset Sessions regardless of the number of participants.

What is a Color Flow?

A Color Flow is a shorter light session of about 20 minutes in As Seen Below, and it does not require a reservation. During a Color Flow, the dome room is closed with an exterior lid, and it is not the sky but the light and colors that take center stage.
They take place every two hours during the museum’s opening hours. The first Color Flow begins half an hour after the museum opens, typically at 9:30 or 10:30. You can ask about the next Color Flow at Information or in the ARoS Shop on Level 4.

Can I bring my children into As Seen Below?
Just like everywhere else in the museum, children are welcome in As Seen Below. The experience is calm and sensory – for both children and adults. You are welcome to bring younger children into the artwork, but the experience is best suited for children who can sit reasonably still in a quiet space with dimmed lighting. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The special Sunrise and Sunset Sessions require that children are able to sit in silence for 45–60 minutes.
Can I bring a pram or stroller?

Access to As Seen Below is step-free, so you can bring a pram or stroller when the artwork is open without special lighting. Please note that the acoustics in the room can feel overwhelming for very young children.
For the special Color Flows as well as the Sunrise and Sunset Sessions, we do not recommend bringing very young children.

Musikhusparken surrounding As Seen Below is open and accessible to everyone, but we kindly ask that you do not climb, play, or spend time on the exterior of the artwork. The piece is designed so that visitors cannot get close to the circular opening at the top.
We ask you — and all our other guests — to follow the signage and on‑site guidance so we can take care of our visitors, each other, and the artwork.
