"When ARoS opened, it was Boy who was the talk of the town. I was a young teenager and not particularly interested in art at the time, but Boy made me want to visit ARoS. He piqued my curiosity, and I clearly remember when I first saw him with my own eyes. So big, so lifelike and expressive. His skin, blood vessels and nails.

Everyone sees him differently. Is he sad, scared, or lying in wait? You can’t ever just walk past him. 

You need to stop and take a closer look. To me, that’s the epitome of good art.

Even though Boy has been at the museum for a long time now, I have to see him every time I visit ARoS. Just check in to see how he is doing."
